Membership Meetings

Members, guests, and the general public are invited to join us on the first Wednesday of each month, (EXCEPT - there are no meetings in July and December and in August, we hold our meeting during the family picnic - Legion Park, Everett).

Meetings are held in Snohomish County East Administration Building, 3000 Rockefeller, in Everett. Room F107, Public Meeting Room on the 1st Floor of the Bob Drewel Building. South East corner. Come in the main doors (Wall St. and Oakes St.) head south and veer left at the bottom of the stairs. Meetings start at 7pm.

January 4, 2012

The meeting will feature a presentation by the Outdoor Youth Connections (www.outdooryouthconnections.org). This non-profit organization was founded in 2007 by a group of Everett Mountaineers in memory of Larry Ingalls. Larry was an exceptional friend and leader. There was no task too big or too small that Larry would not do for the Mountaineers. OYC's goal is to continue Larry's legacy by providing financial support to underserved youth so they can participate in outdoor activities fostering personal development and environmental stewardship. Please come to the meeting to learn about what the group has done, their goals for the future and what you can do to help.

February 1, 2012

February's Membership meeting will provide the activity committee's an opportunity to make a brief presentation on the year to come; course offerings, dates, volunteer opportunities, trips and events. Scrambling, Winter Camping, Hiking, Navigation, Lookout and Trail Maintenance and Singles (social) are among the groups slated to present. Everyone is encouraged to attend, support the volunteers and maybe find a new favorite course.

Our newly elected officers will be on hand to tell you what they do for the Branch and what their priorities and goals are. They will field your questions and listen to your ideas abour to make our organization stronger and better. Louie Coglas, our new Chair, will deliver his inaugural address outlining his vision of the Branch's future. A panel discussion will follow.

Hal Watrous on Climbing/Scrambling in New Zealand 2012
HAL WATROUS will present Climbing, Scrambling and Hiking in New Zealand. Hal, his wife and Andy Boos saw it all. Hal will cover trip planning, travel and expenses as well as the magnificent places to visit in this far away land in the Southern Hemisphere. DON'T MISS IT !!!!

Louis Coglas is scheduled to make a presentation detailing the Everett's Lookout and Trail Maintenance program and the branch's participation in National Trails Day, June 2nd.

Branch Events:

Branch-wide events are open to all Everett members, families, and guests. We also welcome other branches to attend. Major events include the annual Salmon Bake, gear grab potluck, awards banquet, and more! Be sure to attend and have a great time!
